Sorry about that, Carolyn.  I improved on the movie slightly, deleted the original version, & uploaded the new one.  Here's the new URL: https://youtu.be/dpOcptaJt1Y

"The back of Shozo Shimamoto's head" notes - 5:24

"The back of Shozo Shimamoto's head": In 1987, Shozo Shimamoto, a Japanese Gutai artist & Mail Artist, & Ryosuke Cohen, another Japanese Mail Artist, & a Japanese woman whose name I don't remember who was a performance artist & possibly a Mail Artist as well, came to BalTimOre as a part of a North American tour.  The 3 Japanese didn't speak English except for Ryosuke who only spoke a little & none of the BalTimOrons spoke any Japanese so communication was a bit awkward.  Nonetheless, Reverend Paul Summers & I had had extensive Mail Art exchanges with Shozo & Ryosuke so we already knew each other somewhat.  I don't know how we ended up on the MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) Train Station parking lot but I imagine this was something Rev Paul set up.  I think Shozo was touring expressly to do things with his shaven head.  I had a collection of stickers that I used in my mailings so I chose some from that to stick to Shozo.  Alan Barysh, played a recorded statement of Vietnam Veterans Against World War III to accompany this process.  Alan & I were roommates at the time.  Later, a super-8 film that Shozo had brought for this purpose was projected on the back of his head.  I think the people shown are probably Mail Artists.  The 1st one might be Ray Johnson but it's hard for me to tell.  I'm not sure where this projection took place.  I remember that Ryosuke, at least, came back to Alan's & my house later where we exchanged gifts & partied. - June 8, 2019 notes from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE
