Thank you for your kind invitation to the Solidarity with Japan>> Group, Val! It will be my first group as a new member of IUOMA.
I sent some mail art (a large package, actually) to a swap friend in Tokyo well before the fateful day, and did not hear anything for quite sometime. I have since heard from her via electronic mail, and thankfully she and her family are safe... and receiving many prayers from around the world. Still some disconcerting news coming from that area, though !!
And I would be most happy to send some mail art to you. Mérci pour l'invitation!
Hello Mr.Valentine,
Thanks for accepting my friend request. yes I will send you one soon. We are safe here in Akita so far Akita is one of the safest place here in Japan. Thanks again.
So I got a little bored and went to the Wikipedia, the source for really good information and found something interesting about Hartlepool. It seems that a monkey was executed there during the Napoleonic Wars. Any thoughts on this? Do you think they really killed a monkey?
I'm glad that you like the "Life's Pathways" post card. I made several similar cards in the series with some recycled materials from my scraps box, and yours is the final one in the series ... at least for now.
Thanks for writing, and I'll look forward to something from you!
Yes, please open the green folded paper -- it isn't really an envelope at all, it's paper folded upon itself. I thought it was sturdy enough to make it through the mails without an outside envelope, but it would appear that the PO felt differently. Hopefully everything inside did not stick over and upon itself, and it will unfold nicely for you.
There's something in the mail, headed your way! At last! it felt good to have it weighed for the correct rate of postage. Our 2 stamps definitely wouldn't have gotten it to you. One more in the works, so look out!
