Val,

I had no idea about the House of Orange and enjoyed seeing your collage very much.  Oranjie is the snazziest "ride" I have ever seen!  So fabulous!

Have a great day,

Christine

Hi Val...so glad your MA arrived...yes, the pond has all the little critters...geese, ducks, a crane or two, frogs, even a red fox has been seen hanging around this summer - he/she drives the dogs nuts :-)

I'm thinkin' that you need a new hat for our winter...what season is it in France?

Santa is checking his list....hmmmm....naughty.....nice.....

Thanks for your good wishes (depsite the fickleness of that plant. You'd think it would be more grateful to me but... there you have it).

My hand is doing well. Unfortunately my right hand and I am right handed, so things dont' always go right but I don't give up. I have a deep cut under my little finger from where the handle of my backpack dug into it that required stitches - they come out tomorrow and it is healing well (when I first did it my first thought was that my finger was coming off but obviously that was erroneous). Mostly now what is left is that my hand and lower right arm are still bruised and swollen and the muscle strained, so moving it is hard and I cannot lift anything. Just will take time.

I was lucky nothing was broken. The radiologist said my bones were well-mineralized. Thank you, impact exercise. So I cannot imagine breaking so many bones in my hand as you said. That must have been a long and painful process to heal. My only broken bone was my elbow, about 8 years ago (I was ice-skating). That was difficult so I am imagiining a hand being much worse.

OK, stopping typing. Hand is demanding. Thanks for your good wishes!

Val,

I have been enjoying your latest sea monsters and hope you had a great time while away.  I am thrilled to know my mail art arrived!  I am having so much fun creating.  My most recent finds have been paint swatches from a home improvement store that I am making into post card scenes.  Clifford is an awesome name!  And I find it hilarious that Bianca takes up most of your art studio desk when you are working.  My Clifford is usually a snooze in a pile of rumpled blankets nearby when I am playing with paper.  Talk soon and have a great day my friend.  Christine

I am still laughing about what you said about that plant. Very useful info for me. I fell in my driveway last Thursday and many bruises etc plus stitches in my hand. Although doing much better now, Send that plant back, I need it!

I'm glad it has arrived. Sometimes it get lost so when I answer a mailart call. What I meant by Mandala a picture often a repeating patterns inside or circle. The name is Sansrit for circle and appears a lot in Buddha, Hindu art. Often used in meditations. I aim to send something at once or twice a month. I've joined postcrossing and regularly make and swap ATCS. I don't have a definited style it's eclectic mixed media collage. Sometimes I'll use slide frame. I'm currently on and off mailart wise.

Many of us have Toyota stories from our pasts, no? My high school boyfriend's mom drove a Corolla. No, no interesting stories there. Maybe getting hit by that lorry and your current state of nonsensical writing are related. I'm glad that lorry didn't do you in and you're here with us today to write nonsense on our walls. Snooky says hi. He had a bath recently and is so soft. He was smelling like an old, dirty gym shoe. How does that happen? He must have rolled in something.

Hi Val,

I'm glad you got all the parts of my card and that the post service is so reliable! I'm impressed. The white things are milk box caps. I did that piece thinking about a meditation technique where you have to imagine the sound of one hand clapping. I tried to imagine looking through artificially created darkness. I've always thought that closed packagings are mysterious little places.

My thesis is about the history of fashion museums. Most of my friends think it's a boring subject, so I don't talk about it very much :P

Also, I've got your card! Thank you very much.

Tomorrow I'll be heading to Poland for some vacation time :D

Regards,

Ana

I'm good...finally catching my breath after a chaotic couple of months.

Going away again...didn't you just get back from Holland? Wherever you go for whatver reason I wish you safe and funfilled travels xoxo

P.S. Had some storm damage last week and thought of you.  Seems an Old Oak Walrus washed up on our deck...we don't really have fancy sea monsters in Alabama :)
