Your "TLP" are muchly appreciated here, John! I learned to "gently" open the pages with a letter-opener. The Greeks call it "carefully stroking" ( or petting?) the pages. There are still a few books published in Greece that have the perforated folds and we must "open" them before reading. My first years in Greece, all the books came off the printing press "closed" and needed "careful stroking".
So, tonight, as I "open" you TLPs, I am reminded of a time when we had to "carefully stroke" before "reading". Thank you!
I got your package :-) - and have suitably - or NOT - rearranged 2 to send back to U. Plus I think I will have to send you a shopping list as you appear to be in short supply ;-)
Hi John, got your envelope today. It's hard for me to explain how your work makes me feel. It's almost a relief to my brain to see only symbols and pure abstraction-something mind rational mind can't figure out. It also has this decadence to it like something is being squished out only the page. That's my take anyway. Hope you liked the bubble wrap:)
Hi John your fork lint arrived just in time for dinner. Loved the concrete poetry non sequitorialistic reading matter. I'm also enjoying your photos cheers
hi John, just to let you know i have received your K, it's brilliant! i really enjoyed it!
..thank you!
and simply for the record about two of your still missing letters, Cheryl will do the L and i will do the J...i love it but i don't really know the reason behind this new situation.
I wanted to let you know I received your K section for Project26. I admire your poetry completely, not just because I myself am rhythmically impaired, but because it's so darn good. I'll be sending you my letter P shortly. Regards, Bifidus.
hi John...i haven't received your K yet but instead this morning i found the two beautiful booklets you sent me..love them! i must tell you that i am also the happy owner of another booklet of yours, my good friend Rudi (Rubberoid) sent me Wet Place.
Excellent - so K is done and dusted? I'm smiling :-) I'm certain De Villo will forward them. Glad you like B. And never you fear - this project WILL succeed!! Once all the participants are finished I will blog simple binding instructions - it will be up each person to complete their own book. There are people on the waiting list so all the letters will be done. Thanks VERY much for taking part.
Hey John - a copy and paste for you: The format, instructions and sizing for Project 26. This project follows the same format as the Alexander book. Please use a firm paper as this helps the book remain strong in the binding process (160 - 220 gm).
Instructions:
Commercial paper size - A4 - about 30cm x 21cm. Take the paper and cut in half lengthwise.
Fold the sheets and slot one into the other. This gives each persona 4 page little boekie - folded size - 15cm x 10.5 cm. Horizontal format. We REPEAT! You will have to make 26 copies and post 25 to eachof the participants. One of the the reasons for this size if that isis the cheapest to post. Start postage saving! Hand embellishments to your copies will enhance their appeal so go for it!
John, an envelope with info on the book is on it's way to you from me (and Cheryl because we just talked about wrangling your contribution). So I'm on this,, OK? Want your milk in a bag?

I have just answered your last two grand poem mailings with new stuff of my own. Loved the coloured stuff with Sheila E.
Thanks for sending to the Mail2Maastricht, looks like it is going to be a BIG show.
