I adore this print! I have to look up how to do these. The colors and shapes are marvelous. So expressive!

SuperHero Games! Indeed. It looks like Superman has the edge, um, well, he needs another little cape around in front, but what the heck, he can do what he likes!

well, sort of. it's not a reduction print as i did two plates for the different colors. there's probably a name for that but i'm not sure what it is. here's a quick scan of the two plates. the one is green as i never cleaned the ink off when i used that plate for another project.

So you carved foamcore and made a reduction print?

Comment by William M on January 25, 2020 at 3:59am

res, that was a two color foamcore print. though i can see how it could be mistaken for a collagraph. glad you dug it.

Oops! I mean "thousand yard stare." Sorry.

Here's a Sept. 2019 yellow guy from William Mellott, no. 8/12. The surface feels like it might be another early collagraph.

Wonderful contrast, and dig that thousand mile stare!

thanks for the kind words on the collagraph bradford!

I love the first work in blue; looks concomitantly mid-century, earthy, primitive, and Sci-Fi .
