From some sending in New York in 10:30 in the morning,

from Boise,, El Paso,TEXAS in 2020 :-) Or is it from Air Mail Helicopter Service?

comes this very, very old envelope with fine vintage postage, too:

(or is it from Italy? San Marino?)maybe the "Rio Grande" in 2020?

and inside:

a swirl of BLUE and mapping...the Santa Monica Freeway?

MAPs ...of the Los Angeles area, how sweet!

(my brother and his family live in Long Beach

...he was engineer /consultant for that L.A. Metro Line!)

I spy the Long Beach Freeway...(been there, done that!)

Thank you so much, Debra! xxx

This envelope is a glassine approval envelope produced by the H.E. Harris Company which at one time was the largest stamps-for-collectors firm in the world.  He went into business as a sole proprietor in 1916 when he was only 14 years old and sold the large company in 1975.  I usedta get approvals from this firm (and others) in the early 1970s.
