Arac, we Cerealists do face hazards others don't understand.

Yip, I have bags of cereal in the cupboard with the boxes gone or huge holes cut into them. Dw is a Froot Loops & Mountain Dew type - so I collect his discarded boxes. I eat the cereal right out of the bag for snacks to try to make room so I can purchase more cool boxes. It's an obsession now.

On Trashpo runs - out in the street - I'm just not finding cereal boxes, which is a problem. So I'm turning some of the cerealist pieces into ATCs (copies) so they stretch further.

Aww, thanks. I plucked this box out of my friends recycle bin...she thought I was nuts but it was very cute and it made this and 2 arty slides for the carousel.

Do you have the self control to eat the cereal first or is your cabinet full of clear bags with sharpie titles like mine???

You're doing great things with it, Arac.

Rumor has it that cereal boxes & mail-art go back to Ray Johnson & the NY Correspondence School, but that has not been 100% established. It certainly has roots in PopArt, you know, the Warhol soup can - so it, strangely, has a distinguished history.

Jack Spicer also worte "serial poems" & now we're changing that to Cereal Poems in Trashpo.

Yeah, suddenly I notice I'm consuming huge quantities of surgary cereal. I don't read the labels; I choose it for the box art.

Diane~no doubt there is a snack attack nightly...the only question is cereal or oreos/milk?

I am addicted to crap kid cereal...it gives me alot to work with.  Thanks for turning me on to the whole cerealism thing De Villo, it's been fun to see what I could do with these boxes.  If only I could wait til I was done with the cereal to destroy the boxes... ;)

Love it! I think Arac has a bit of an obsession with sugar cereal-another midnight snack perhaps?
