OK so we blew it this year. But everyone take note for next year; Thom Courcelle's Birthday, 5 January. Personally, I think I'll be sending him something with more flower.Somehow I have an image of hundreds of posters & flyers saying; "SKI VT". But then again it does sound a little medical, so maybe not the best marketing approach. "VT someday", I say. I'll put it on the bucket list just ahead of Darwin, Minnesota where they have the World's Largest Twine Ball rolled by one man. I kid you knot. And last, but not least is something that Thom must have thrown in at the last minute. Or maybe they got put in by mistake and he is still searching all over the house for them.
Anyway, they are just what I wanted; Vertical box labels. OK, I know what you're thinking. "Hey Loon*, just turn them 90° and they will be horizontal. And that's just what I attend to do. I have been wanting to get a grip on my mail art filing and this might just be the push I need.
Thank you Thom & a belated Happy Birthday

Stalactights...for winter.
Well Thom, I'm sadden to hear that the ski business in VT is going down hill.
Thank for those wonderful photos. Stalactites? Aren't those shoes that women wear in Paris?
Those hanging branches look like stalactites! Crazy crystal stuff...and now, after seeing that cake, I need chocolate. Loon a Tic. Heheheh!
We have had a pretty dismal ski season this year due to lack of much snow. (Compared to last year's record snowfalls.) And this weekend was too cold for anyone to sanely be on the mountain skiing (-30 degrees below zero Ferenheit). But there are still some pretty winter pictures of Vermont winter from the ski slopes:
Great blog, Dean. Yes, those vertical sticker are for people with skinny handwriting.
Having a birthday so close to the New Year is a hard one for people…everyone is usually so exhausted from so much revelry and from imbibing so much sugar during the Xmas-New-Year holidays, that no one is interested in engorging themselves with more birthday cake. At a certain age, however, one doesn't mind having one's birthday forgotten--or rather the neglect of being reminded how old one is. It can be a good thing to be oblivious to age!
Besides, winter birthdays are "sappy"… Don't you know where Vermont babies come from?
I've never, ever, used (or even owned), vertical labels. But all the rest is true.
