I couldn't possibly be prepared when I received THREE packed envelopes in one day from Nancy Bell Scott. She is so compassionate that when I run out of trash--she sends me hers. There is a little bit of everything in this huge trash pile: cut up pieces of hard cover book, hand written notes galor, lock of hair!, studio scraps, food packaging, stamps, mail, receipts--too numerous to name. i am learning so much about Nancy and am so grateful that she is keeping me in garbage for weeks. She has even promised to send more when I am out. That might be by the real apocalypse of 2012 in which we will all be part of the rubble. Thanks Nancy:)

Classy art? I love the smell of burning classy art in the morning. It smells like victory.

ah, so you meant literally the Apocalypse not just figuratively meaning the end of classy art as we know it

I was thinking of "Apocalypse Now." The quote: "I love the smell to trash first thing in the morning," (Original quote was napalm.)

Definately that's why I created the group in high hopes that others are interested and then we can keep track of the trash swap! yeah! garbage from Angie's house-why do I think dog hair will be included?

Superhero, I have put a lot of thought into that because I think it's a great idea but can't quite figure out how to do that and have the garbage bag remain intact. No envelope! No Way! BTW, I forgot to scan/take a picture of my asemic pages but hopefully Amy will scan hers and post. Looks like no one wants to swap garbage so damn it--I will get cracking on that SASGB

That'd be fun. If anyone wants to do a trash swap let me know. We could send each other an envelope full of our finest useable trash and art scraps etc. and then the person gets to make something out of it and send it back. Anyone interested?

Lisa's idea of a mail art trash swap is very appealing.  I'd be up for it.  Although if my trash is perfect, why should I?
