The family puzzle / Tapestry of life - from Cheryl Penn

Another super-galactico mail from Cheryl Penn has made it to my lucky mailbox. No angry in here, says the envelope (laugh!). I hear you, Cheryl...

The puzzle of family unfolds, complex and rich, beautiful and mysterious. This is another one of those pieces I just couldn't stop taking pictures of. Gorgeous!

The mechanichs of family dissected out, words carefully sorted, put on the table one by one.
Experiences, though... it's not as easy as it seems...

Tapestry > noun
Many threads of experiences, woven together to form life which remains trapped within the pattern.

What a great definition! I wonder what my family tapestry would look like. All those threads, would they form a pattern? I somehow feel like I belong to more than one family... (Cheryl knows that it is a matter that lies close to my heart).

"Order where threads of experiences are woven together regularly in order to produce ingrained, repeated motifs"

Not a single thread is missing. Want it or not, passed ghost are part of the picture, essential pieces of the puzzle.

Once again, the layering and use of multiple textures is exquisite. Crossword grids are alternating with meshes of Cheryl's own words, glossy photo paper is paired with colorful thread, passed and present are walking hand in hand. Pictures can show a lot but I think you haven't seen half of it. And neither have I, I have to go back there....
Thank you so much Cheryl, useless to say that I love it!

"The hand that rocks the cradle

Is the hand that rules the world." William Wallce.

The patterns that generations weave, entwined with hours

Till the next come

Tying their threads with ours.
