Don't ask me why, but I always think of "Susans" as these sweet ladies who go out and have tea & cookies at 3pm and have conversations some what like this one: "Would you like another cookie dear?", "Oh no I couldn't, one cookie is outrageous already" , "So what did you do yesterday?" , "I made some mail art to send to Dean" , "Lovely, Lovely, do you think we could see it?"  "Well of course, here it is:"

Thank you Susan, you are my one and only very unique Susan.

Fun story and blog, Dean! Susan (Hayworth?) sent a very dynamic "red"...wow!

No "old" ladies here...just "mature" :-)

Let me read my blog again.  Now where did I mention "old".  I'm sure I would never have thought of anyone as old.  And your art work is far from it.

I kicked the cookie habit a long time ago.  "Go where cookies can not follow", that's my motto.  Risks pay off in the end.

Your description, Susan, of yourself  as "a working class, Berkeley radical, hippie, queer type of old lady who has never eaten only a single cookie at a sitting" sounds great (and also sums up just about the existential crisis I'm going through at the moment: but I'm addicted to dark chocolate)

Hi Dean, You are correct in guessing that I was born at a time when many baby girls were named Susan after the famous actor Susan Hayworth. (Who??? I hear people asking.) That definitely qualifies me as an old lady. Where you've gone wrong is in what kind of old lady you are envisioning. We aren't a homogeneous bunch, you know. I am a working class, Berkeley radical, hippie, queer type of old lady who has never eaten only a single cookie at a sitting.

Good for you for taking a risk. I definitely approve of risk taking. I'm not offended at being thought an old lady, only a tad disappointed that you just noticed my art sometimes has a bit of an edge. I'm going to have to work harder at that I guess. Thanks for the blog.
