I met David last year when he was a guest researcher in our lab for a month. Those were really good times, we had fun. Towards the end of his stay we found out about our common interest in photography, went out on a great photo walk (that cemetery with cherry blossoms, for those who have seen the picture, was taken on that day), and had ridiculous photoshopping competitions to keep us amused. But all good things must come to an end, and David returned to Washington DC, leaving us to miss him (he loved Tokyo but I think he was badly missing his fiancée).
After we exchanged a few emails I told him about my new interest in mail art (that was one year ago), and he promised I would soon receive the most amaaaazing mail art, and that it would be about Godzilla vs the Little Prince. Right.... well, that never happened. But I forgive him, because I know he was busy organizing his wedding, and work, and just life in general. And because he sent me the sweetest package last week. With two sets of stamps, ink, a tag card and a fab little red elephant he made at his stamping class! I love it! Dave, I hope you'll take on mail art very soon! I'll get working on something nice for you...

David! Great to see you here! :-)) See, your elephant was very well received!
I didn't dare to give Tom a big bear hug from behind yet :-o
Hey Marie, I signed up just to leave a comment for you ... and is it turned out, I have discovered a wonderful community here !! I could really get into mail art like this. Thanks for introducing me !!
Yeah, I miss Tokyo very much ... of course, the city itself is great ... but its more about the friends (e.g. you). I'm looking forward to receiving something from you soon!! It's so suspenseful!! And really hope to see you soon.
Hello you three, thanks for passing by, as usual! A stamping researcher, yes, can you believe? A very rare thing in those aquariums! It IS special yes, lucky me. I wanted to post the pictures that came out of the photoshop competition but I can only find his. Maybe later.
A landing!!! Oh happy day!!!
