A postcard size fold-out arrived in Greece from j.Block,

with front and back sides having his fine rip/tear collages.

But OPEN and enter an art exhibit of the Masters:

and even go inside to the Main Gallery:

Fantastic! See through the open frames:

Just amazing! Thank you, j.

Kat - Thanks for that.

In a big collage exhibition last year, I saw one of Jean-Francois Rauzier's 'hyperphotos' (his term), 'The National Gallery, London'. It's an enormous print - 1m50 x 2m50 - and you end up spending ages looking at it, and then don't forget it in a hurry. So it comes back to mind for me when I see anyone doing something with art-gallery-imagery - and I love Jay's collage book.

Yes, Jennifer, Jay Block is a member here at IUOMA, check out his profile page.

He is in Massachusetts and is well known for his fine "rip/tear" collage cards.

And this 3-D fold-out is super!

Kat - Is this someone you've exchanged work with before - is there more online anywhere?

This is a great piece of work - and a new way of working with layers for me to try out!
