The South African connection is growing, and I'm very happy about this. I saw this beautiful lino print on Chery'l blog a couple of weeks ago, and one comment was enough to bring it to my mailbox. Lucky me! This is one of my favorite colors, and I really like the way the denser parts of the ink melt into the brighter areas. You can't really see it on the picture but the thick paper has a nice texture too (I just realized the photo is a bit out of focus, sorry about that).
Lesley's note was written on the back of what is probably another lino print, red overlaid with gold, looking quite oriental to me (or is it South African?). This is exquisitely beautiful, thank you Lesley!

Thanks Lesley, it was my pleasure, really. I like this kind of paper a lot, you made a perfect choice.

Yes, mail is not too bad between SA and JP. Something between 10 days and 2 weeks (in case of the Crimson Giant, 3 months!).

Our mail to Japan seems to be relatively fast! Thanks for blogging Marie, and yes, the note is on Chinese prayer paper, I got it in a Chinese shop in Johannesburg ages ago. I know you are in Japan, not China, but it seemed orientally appropriate! And it is a pleasure sending mail to you.
