Thanks, Svenja. Richard certainly knows his way around with his poems. I know Richard is a big Aram Saroyan fan. I wanted to share this Aram Saroyan quote I found, circa 1968 explaining the iconic poem:
eyeye (that's the poem - one word)
"I began as a 'regular' poet, imitating effects I liked in Creeley, Ashbery, everybody. Then one night by accident I typed eyeye. I didn't know what it was. Someone else saw it and said--yes! That was about two years ago. For a year after that I did plenty of visual poems. But differently than the concrete poets...." - Aram Saroyan
So "eyeye" - one of the great minimal poems - was a typo! Or ty=po.
I'll send this to Richard. He might be interested.
