Rainbow bunch of stuff from John Bennett

My very first mail art from John Bennett, what a wonderful surprise, together with his Vispo #2 pages he sent some wonderful little boekies with pictures and poems (and creatures!)...

I love the way John uses language, letters, poems (even if I have to admit I think I don't really understand every little thing and joke (damn my English!!). Thank you John!, I've blogged everything here: http://amtfuerpostkunst.wordpress.com

Yes, John...what a nice "sound" when reading an unopened book and we had to slice the pages!

This was still the practice when I first arrived in Greece in the 1970's.

You can't have that "caressing" on a Kindle! iPod ...Tablet. whatever!  sigh.

Good to see these and I'm glad you like them, Svenja

Katerina: I leave the books unopened (as we say in the library world) becuaes they remind me also of my past, when I sat reading books, mainly from Latin America and s[pain, knife in hand!

What I really feel deeply about, and that which brings back many memories of the past,

it the fact that JMB's boekies / pamphlet are "closed" and need to be carefully opened along the upper folds.

This is called "caressing"-the-book in Greek! And it gives the pages that "deckle" edge! Thank you, John M. B
