Since many years the Platypus is one of my most favourite animals. And every now and then a platypus reaches my mail box, all the way from Oz (and other countries).
Today I am happy to show you some of them.
Above the great amazing sweet Platypus, made thanks to Onions. Thank you Katerina!
Below the beautiful collage by Nicole Eippers:
And this Platypus collage I received from Laurel as a 'thank you' card for a postcrossing card I had sent her (of a hedgehog, another interesting animal, as is the echidna):
Feel free to add your Platypus, too!
And now I realize that I've never created a Platypus as mail art (I've made 'usual' drawings and paintings but no postable ones so far :-).
So if there's anyone who would like to receive Platypus Mail Art from me, please let me know!

Thank you very much, Vizma!
For everyone who's interested: you can read the complete story of the Old Man Platypus - and see the other parts of Vizma's mail art - here.
On the postage stamp there's a family member of the Platypus (or at least: an egg laying mammal, too), the Echidna!
Your PLatypus arrived safe and sound. Beautiful drawn! Thank you very much, Amy! I've posted the Platypus - and Pink Eared Duck stamp - also here.
Thank you, Amy! Concerning the Mail Snail: I love it too :-) but all credits go to Mail Art Martha - I designed this stamp after the map of Retailia which Martha had sent me. It's the Snail from the coat of arms of the Queendom of Retailia; behind the Snail you can see part of the flag: blue, with three white dots from bottom left to top right.
Thank you all for your kind comments! And thank you, Katerina for sharing this beautiful funny Plato-pus, and Vizma and Amy thank you in advance for the platypus (2 platypus = plural = platypi? platypus? :-)
Amy, there's a platypus starting to be appearing on paper, and as soon as it has been finished he/she'll come your way!
And Vizma... Have to think about what to send to you, maybe an orange platypus? Or do you prefer an other animal (an ebi knitting orange scarves? :-) who must not be eaten by a platypus...)
