Since many years the Platypus is one of my most favourite animals. And every now and then a platypus reaches my mail box, all the way from Oz (and other countries).
Today I am happy to show you some of them.

Above the great amazing sweet Platypus, made thanks to Onions. Thank you Katerina!

Below the beautiful collage by Nicole Eippers:

And this Platypus collage I received from Laurel as a 'thank you' card for a postcrossing card I had sent her (of a hedgehog, another interesting animal, as is the echidna):

Feel free to add your Platypus, too!

And now I realize that I've never created a Platypus as mail art  (I've made 'usual' drawings and paintings but no postable ones so far :-).

So if there's anyone who would like to receive Platypus Mail Art from me, please let me know!

@ Amy: Just now I realize that the platypus you've sent in February this year, is a kind of zentangled, too! Since my recent discovery I'm watching your drawing with different, new eyes :-) Thank you again!

Great zen tangle platypus envelope! I haven't sent you one in a while; maybe I will get on that!,

I discovered 'zentangling' recently, and this is my first zentangled envelope :-)

For Vizma, as a 'thank you' for all the Platypus you've sent :-)

Yay! The Platypus returned, braincellified! And close to the Donkey, one of my other favourite animals.
Also published here, and there.

An other jump-into-the-air of happiness today: I received this Platypus Mail Art!

Also blogged there.

At least they left the Bananas complete and did not eat them, I saw when I opened your beautiful envelope today!

Thank you very much! I posted the Bananas in the Bananas group, and the echidnas among the other animals :-)

I think that is what happened, Heleen...echidnas might be eating bananas too.

(I forgot to draw their "bills", so maybe they are not eating anything!)

S cute - no I didn't see them yet. I see a lot of yellow around them, so maybe it's in the mail I received but which I should open Friday 21st Februari?!?

What if they would eat onions (you see I now add the word 'would' to avoid the dilemma: as a non-native writer I didn't even think 'eat' would be wrong and 'ate' would be correct - both seem okay to me, in Dutch it's present ('eten') of past-future 'zouden eten')?

I think the ants would be happy and the echidnas would feel some gaz in the belly :-)
