Phoenix Comicon screening Spleen of St. Louis, May 27th 2011

The Fred Wilder film SPLEEN OF St. LOUIS has been selected to screen at the Phoenix Comicon convention this May 2011.

This year the Phoenix Comicon will be held at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona USA May 26th through the 29th 2011.
This is a fluxus film short that tells the strange journey of the filmmaker's ordeal as a child in 1969 involving the Moon landing and a traffic accident on the highway in Missouri that killed his Grandfather and took Fred's spleen. In the film two sexy ladies, a surgeon and a nurse remove Fred's Spleen for the camera. The film is crafted around the poetry reading by Zen Josey and Jack Ritchie of Wilder's poem Spleen of St. Louis. This poem along with many other fine weird and wonderful dark poems maybe found in The book Poetry of Filth.

Screening date is: 10:00PM Friday May 27th  2011
