I am reminded I was humbled by the last mailing from Susan McAllister, sent by Cheryl White. Susan had recently become a favorite IUOMA friend, sending sharp compositions as well as doodle-ly abstract ones. The mailing reports Susan died on July 15, 2016 & she will be missed.
New to me was a mailing from Giovanni and Renata StraDA DA Performers - the scans here are of page sized print-outs, hand colored with markers & crayon.
One of my favorites here is an untouched postcard for a Sea Glass festival from Steve Howell, with a variety of vintage stamps affixed for mailing. Steve is also a new-to-me artist.
The deadline for Pink Mail Art has passed, but maybe I'll send something anyway.
I love stickers & Jon Foster & LIVE ED are no disappointments, sending multiple. Jon's envelope is a plasticky, translucent paper.
Dean & BAUDET continue to likewise not disappoint, if some of Dean's work is worn in the mail - I'm no stranger to that myself, & have since armed myself with crazy glue.
Chris Wells of Faint Press sent another dark work, suggestive of vispo & asemics.
The collaboration with Diane Keys is another of my favorites here - Diane appreciates the "Parts per million" & that to both of us, we cannot totally discern who did what on this piece, however small (8.5" x 7").
Katerina Nikoltsou inspires me to make another Trash Book myself, usually using wine sleeves. Her book includes some stickers for use as well, to my delight.
I'll let the rest & all speak for itself. Many Thanks to all for the correspondences, goodies & goodness.
