New book of collage by Ray Johnson & prose by William S. Wilson (review by Mark Bloch)

A Brooklyn Rail review by mail art legend Mark Bloch announces the publication of Frog Pond Splash, a book of collage by Ray Johnson & prose by William S. Wilson. Edited by Elizabeth Zuba.

The book is published by Siglio Press, which has released other editions about Ray Johnson & related artists & writers. 

This is an opportunity to see rare examples of Ray Johnson's solo collage & gain insights from Johnson's archivist, William S. Wilson.

Thx, Bradford. I try to keep track of things I think are of importance to networkers. (Since I am a reviewer people tend to send things like this my way.)

Siglio Press publishes some great image-text books. Many of the contributors connect to mail art in various ways:

Not Nothing, a collection of Ray Johnson's prose edited by Elizabeth Zuba was published in 2014 by Siglio & generated Yoma interest.

I notice the BR says a New York Times art critic has named Frog Pond Splash one of the best art books of 2020. That's fairly amazing when you consider the competition.
