Okay... so I know that this book, Good Mail Day, has been out for some time (2009), and many of you are probably aware of it (and may even own it). I didn't know about mail art until I found this book at a secondhand shop a couple of years ago. Immediately I was fascinated with the whole idea. At the time I was just delving into mixed media art, vintage collage and altered art - but I knew that I would eventually want to give mail art a try.

Anyway...I recently joined IUOMA (thanks Kristen Maki Hermanny for introducing me). It's a terrific way for me to jump right in to the mail art world. A few days after joining I remembered that I owned this book, and so I decided to get reacquainted with it. It was neat to discover that one of the authors, Jennie Hinchcliff, is a member of IUOMA. I was happy to see the work of Richard Canard (the first member to ask me to send something his way) featured in the book, and to find several references to Ruud Janssen's IUOMA!

I really wish that I had started mail art a few years ago, but I guess it just wasn't my time! Looking forward to sending my creations your way, dear friends!
