Moon Surface Asemic from Sue Bowen

That's what it looks like to me-lunar landing. I'm mystified how you created the surface -just slightly textured. Love it!

Sue, I never heard of that technique. It's really interesting. I don't think scans will replace mail-art any time soon. I think DK got a good shot of your piece, but it must be amazing to see. TY-DK

Diane,  So glad you enjoyed it. In brief... watercolor paper, spread with black gesso, topped with a sticky plastic kitchen wrap.  Dry & remove wrap.  I used transparent, fluid acrylics.  Then manipulated the color with wet shop towels.  Lift, spread, drip, squirt, etc.  Each layer is isolated with a fluid mat medium. Then I sent it to the moon and it came back with those stange markings.......Love your title

It's like a bumpy wall paper and I can't tell if it's acrylic or what. Accomplished a nice clear pic, switched cameras because my other one was dropped on its' head one too many times:)
