In the last last couple of weeks I sent out quite a few letters with various things inside including a piece of a puzzle. It is a fragment of poster of a painting; all in all there are 16 pieces. I hope all the recipients will post their piece online. The first one to guess the artist/ subject matter of the painting will receive a special price.

Katerina was the first one who received a piece and posted it on her page. You can all post your piece or a link here too. I hope this works and you don't think this is to silly of a game, but the solution is worth keeping an eye out for. Have fun guessing!

Yes Taidgh, you were very close. Your unconscious worked it all out already!

Haha! I think I was feeling the vibes, but I wasn't sensitive enough to  pick up on them.

Some of you were so close - I could not believe it when Taidgh posted this a few days ago, called Harry's Scream.

I am very pleased to be able to declare the winner of this little puzzle game: The winner of this fabulous kon your art competition is "E" !!! Congratulations!

He guessed right:

The image is a reworking of Munch's "The Scream" featuring Homer Simpson and his family.

I am very impressed that E guessed the image, based on the piece with Marge's head - I was hoping that he would not spot it.  I love this image, but it had to go to make room for all the mail art I am receiving!

Once again congratulations E, well done, a prize will be sent to you soon! And a big thank you to all the participants who posted their pieces and cam up with very good guesses indeed!

Hey Vizma, no problem, you thanked me but did not post anything. Its ok. :-)

Taidgh got the other half of the image, the cargo ship had to be cut in half, as you said he was your long lost twin somewhere.

I think the winner of the puzzle can be declared now ...
