Mail Art Martha and Field Study souvenirs

This is my first mailing receiveed from the Queendom of Retailia!

Mail art Martha attended the Field Study meeting at the Tate in London, and I can't wait to hear more about it. This little pack of goodies has whet my appetite, the shredded paper from a performance has me scratching my head! Do tell, Martha! The altered card (bottom left) is actually made of wood!

The postage was unstamped so I'll be sending the envo back, which means you'll just have to write to me again, Mail art Martha!!

Thanks for the update Martha! I'm 50/50 on the performance thing, sometimes I enjoy 'em, sometimes I can't tolerate 'em!

Thanks so much for nicking the wooden postcard for me!! It even smells nice!

Oh dear what an omission. I should have explained that David Dellafiora stood up and shredded the Book of Revelations (I think possible only part of it) from the Bible as a performance in response to ( I'm not sure this is the rigth term) the recent End of the World scare. What had the Bible to do with it when it was all a misinterpretation of the Maya calendar puzzles me. But one do not ask those questions, performances are not my thing.

The wooden card was the invitation printed in India and as we had a lot to spare we painted on them,David took them as souveniers I think. I pinched two for you and Momkat as you sent your representatives to the meeting.

Oh, thanks for correcting that...the shredpo is from David from Oz.

not David from New Mexico! Well, nice shreds :-)

No, no Kat, I suspect that would be David Dellafiora, from Oz, who started Field Study. Hope Martha will inform us about all the things we got up to!! ;-)

Isn't it fun that MailArt Martha "took us along" on the visit to the Tate?

Nice goodies here!

Now...do a "performance" with that shredded stuff from David Stafford...

or at least put it on some mail art? :-)
