September 15, 2015 - I admit that I had begun to think of my diligent West Coast correspondent – Annette Kesterson – as a mail art formalist (more of less). See if you agree:

All that has changed with this piece she sent me that I am so pleased to share with you now. This postcard just goes to show that one should be cautious about pigeonholing. The front of the card (above) looks like finger painting. The message is cryptic and a very far cry, I believe, from Annette Kesterson’s usual sense of humor:

This work goes in a completely different direction from anything I ever imagined I would receive from Annette Kesterson, and I think that is great!
