Late Summer Hoard of Magnificent Mail Art

Here is a gallery of some of the wonderful, amazing mail art that has hit my mailbox recently...

Jack of Cascadia Artpost has been generous to me this summer. This is the second in a series that I have received from Jack titled "Commodity Civilization," with some pretty astonishing collage work, and some of the most genius artistamps I've encounter in some time, celebrating "American Values" including Incarceration, Technology, and Superiorty...

David Stafford sent an "Emergency Democracy Kit" that included an airline vomit bag (appropriate!), a fashion bookmark to use while reading candidate manifestos,...

...And, what's that? Could it be? Possibly a self portrait of David when he won that Olympic gold medal for most humorous mail art? You guys...I think that's him taking his victory lap around the track wrapped in the American flag!

Another wonderful reverse security envelope piece from MomKat Katerina. This one contained some Banana Mail commemoration and an add-n-pass boekie creatively made out of some bag material...

Well...it's sort of Banana Mail SELVEGE...but there's an artistamp that gives a hint as to what was cut-out of the yellow paper...

And the cool boekie, which will shortly be amended and passed on...

A surprise postcard from Gik Juri celebrating artistamp history... How thrilled am I to have a mail art friend in Russia!

And J.A.D. Media sends a Chuluthu postcard. I wonder if he somehow had a recent dream that I was knitting a Chuluthu costume for my nephew for Halloween? BECAUSE I AM!!! ...Spooky.

Thanks to one and all of these fabulous mail artists! See you in the post box!

Great Blog Jam! Glad to se the baggie boekie and banana mail art arrived!

The baggies are from the Greek bakery, from tyropitas and little sandwiches, etc.

(saved over the past two years...time to recycle and pass on...)
