Kings of Leon by Amy Irwen!

I have double scanned this, carefully removing it from the plastic sewn wrapper, but i just am not able to show you this piece in its full glory. Amy has sent me a 3d postcard on the front there is a painting of a house with some swirls for clouds in the sky and plastic mesh, which i assume is meant to resemble a gate. it looks rusty and at first before i took it out of the plastic, i thought it was even a metal wire mesh. in the center of the house is a 3-dimensionally framed photograph of a newly married couple with a skull in the lower corner and some sort of metallic buckle overlapping it. and there are the words:

... Trapped in this Spooky House

she took my heart and

she took my soul

I can tell Amy always puts a great deal of time into her works, and i really appreciate it.

Since i've sent out all the "cute" cards this week, and yet again have gabriel's death on my mind,

i will re-post the last page of my portion of asemics #1, which deals with his death and has a photo of Amanda from our wedding, which is what comes to mind as i delve into Amy's wonderful work:

That buckle there is a garter clip.  Love the fishnets and the use of the garter clip takes the viewer to a different time.  Great work.
