Dobbs raises some relevant points here, one of them being, "the End of World may be much worse and take much longer than you thought." Dang. If SubGenius has a church then sorrow has a basement and that will be my new address...

Angie, you might have seen the discussions in the Trashpo group. The Church of the Subgenius got its start in the mail-art network & at a time when people like Blaster Al (& probably JMB) were peddling all these fake religions & institutions that didn't exist you were supposed to write to & send money. It was pretty funny. I even once believed Cecil Touchon had something to do with the Subgenius, but I don't think it's true.

"a direct etheric hotline to space god Jehovah I through our infra-psychic trance babbling Personal Savior J.R. "Bob" Dobbs" - damn that's good. If I hadn't already signed over everything I have to the DKult I would definitely join the Church of the SubGenius.
