Mail from the USA. Please note that Mail Art without an envelope looks very impressive; in this case, a small, rigid cardboard rectangle with a collage, professionally varnished. The Thing came as a postcard.

So, in Santa Barbara County, CA, the artist Matt Ferranto lives, an art teacher who participates in Mail Art under the pseudonym FRNTO. Matt came to Mail Art with a beautiful motto borrowed from composer John Cage: "Rule 1: Find a place you trust, and then, try trusting it for awhile." Matt sent me a bird with a motto on the front. Thanks, Matt!
