Isn't this a great idea! I called and read the Beat-era poem, "I know you through the mail" by J.B . in DOC(K)S. I found it in a poetry review titled, Invisible City, No. 23-25, March 1979, Red Hill Press, Fairfax, California. I sent Jon a copy of the poem--I no longer have the original--it was made into an envelope and sent to Anna Banana for her retrospective on Vancouver Island.
That number 13 should be rescued, but as to being the 14th ... we'll see. Thanks, Jon. Maybe a major martini will help.
@Nancy - these will be collected on CD and posted for streaming online when I get it completed. Right now I have 13 participants.
@Richard-thanks!
@Nancy Bell Scott - Oh no worries, tell us whatever you'd like to. No pressure. I want to hear from you.
Jon, will you be collecting + sharing these in transcript form or actual audio? This person in Maine has stage fright already. Wretched. But it's another unique (and intriguing) idea from you, whichever way you carry it out, so a wonder to ponder.
@Richard-thanks for the kind words, and for sure, make that call...leave a message. I have ten participants right now. You'll see a copy when I get it together.
@Katerina-no worries, you can email your recorded message to jonwfoster@hotmail.com
18.02.20 Dare Mister Jon Foster, .... another good idea by Jon Foster. One energetic project after another. It's even somewhat difficult for some of us old folks to keep up while only watching.....& if you can tolerate still yet another reference to Ray Johnson---- I plan (assuming that I can locate & recharge my cell phone) to attempt to simulate what was my first phone call from R.J. (as I recall, it took me a few minutes to realize that it was a R. J. performance piece [sort of] ). Think nothing of it. SinCelery, Richard Canard
