Katrin Walschek Photo S1
There are photographers who manage to get a message across in a contemporary way using their visual language. Walschek often worked as a freelance editor for television and knows how to handle images. Walschek was the first photographer to put together a series for ARTSURPRISE. And the selection of her images probably had a lot to do with what moved and motivated us at that time to start this social art project. Walscheck contributed a great deal to the visual concept of the project (color schemes, labeling). She is one of the co-founders of the project and will therefore remain anchored in this art history.
Walschek lives and works in the Rhine metropolis of Cologne.
This is a special review because it is also linked to a particularly noteworthy circumstance at the beginning of this social art project Artsurprise.
Walschek not only spoke out in favor of taking part in this project as a contemporary photographer. She had a significant influence on the strategic planning beforehand and the visual direction of this project and developed the first videos, banners, logos and, above all, the color scheme for the different series types ("art types"). In doing so, she also sent a clear signal to the group of early participants; her unpaid help made this project possible in the first place. And we still hope that she and her family will be able to reap the fruits of this work to an appropriate extent. Projects like this are in the founding phase of independent, free creatives who release their energy because they are really convinced of a cause. Therefore, on behalf of all the artists in the project: "Thank you Katrin!"
