Antonio Moreno in Barcelona, Spain, sent me a package today...with 120 envelopes!!!
Okay, 50 of them are beautiful BLUE ;-) And the white ones are very nice, too!
Each envelope has a Moreno's artistamp and a rubber stamp in the upper left corner,
The idea is for a Mail Art project at the Akademie of Kunste in Berlin:
"Envelope is Museum"...
And you need to add something on the envelope ,and send it on to Berlin ( probably not necessary to
add anything IN the envelope...unless you wish to).
The space belongs to YOU...front, and back of envelope. Paint it, draw on it, add stamps, etc.
Soooooo I am adding my stamps and/or stampings on the envelopes some on the back as usual too,
and they will be addressed to the Akademie in Berlin.
Then i shall pack them up 5 or 10 in larger envelopes and send them to : "YOU"
(whoever would like to collab on these envelopes, let me know :-)
Gotta love Antonio's stampings..."31 Feb 2015!"
and his many portrait artistamps (which I'll post in the comments)
Thanks Antonio...many in-the-mail to Berlin soon!
Comment
There is no deadline mention for this project, maybe they will let us know later.
But for now, you will receive from me a few blue and a few white envelopes.
There is Antonio's stamps and then my " feMAIL ARTist" stamp added on front.
The rest of the area is for you to add on the envelope front:
(as one of Afroditi's friends did here)
All envelopes now have on them the address sticker for Berlin.
Then there is the back of the envelope too. I have added my Greek Cat, etc.on the lower right.
You are free to add whatever, there is plenty of empty space (here it is filled up with Greek grass):
Write YOUR name and return address on back...
add a postage stamp to each individual envelope...
seal the envelope with glue (as they are handmade by Antonio, not bought envelopes)
and off they go in the mail...
You may or may not put something inside...your choice! Have fun!
It's a collab mail art.
Thank you all for wanting to make and send. I shall have packages with these envelopes
in the mail tomorrow for TiAr, Joy, Richard, Lucky Pierce and Debbie Thyr, and Amy!
We did a group job this evening at Greek mail artist, Afroditi's studio...some blue and
some white envelopes, they are ready to be sent to Berlin tomorrow!
I would love some!
Hello Dear ! I would like to have 3 white & 3 blue ... If I understand well , I made my illustration on them.
Then , where have I to send them? What is the address ? thanks for your clear answer.
Yes, of course, TiAr and Joy, I'll gladly send you both a few to decorate and send to Berlin.
