I have been waiting for the third of Cheryl's Dream Series (but not necessarily the chronological third) for several weeks. This forced awake state was well worth going through, because the dive into the next dream is just priceless. With this book we are leaving the House on the Hill and the Castle for a while, and the detective story is put in brackets. Instead, we might have landed right in the heart of one of Her dreams.
Dreams are not to be taken lightly. You got to follow some simple yet oh so important rules. This is a whole different dimension we are talking about, you want to be careful there or you might never return. I'm a bit worried though, not being in possession of a Digesting Duck (cf Jacques de Vaucanson, 1739), I just learned that I might be in great danger. I'll have to check the yellow pages for a distributor ASAP.
I don't know about you, but this painting cracks me up, and I think it shows all of Cheryl's genius. All the elements of a Dream are there. Its inexplicable weirdness with the gracious Cinderella-like figure with giant dog head and automaton legs. The physiological part of it with the Digesting Duck and the EEG graph. And the Parallel World with the window/frame/mirror and both hands reaching, one of them not entirely the shadow of the other one, possibly the mirror image but most probably not. And I don't even need to mention that the colors and brush strokes are fantastic. This might be my favorite one of this highly non linear and very intriguing, captivating Series so far. A delight, from dusk till dawn.

Do you have that pink dress?? it's a fab, I think I want it :-) And I'll take that duckie for a walk any day, yes.
So we'll see some action from that shared brain cell today :-)) I hope I won't hear any sound of popping from 6 Kiaat Close.
I think this dream series is going to end me up in some trouble :-)) - too much inner insight???? Again - you made my day! I was dealing with the shared brain cell and all its STUFF, forms (late as usual), spring cleaning and whoops - being back in that dream is WAY more peasant! Besides the Duck want to go for a walk - want to come? ;-)XX
