Cascadia ArtPost sent me the most amazing packet of information about Cascadia in January of 2022! Due to difficulties I occasionally experience synchronizing and remaining within specific parameters of the space / time continuum, I'm blogging about it 10 months later in your time line. For this I deeply apologize as I fully recognize that this is frustrating and disorienting, to say the least.
Above is the cover of the very cool and informative copy of the Diorama Diaries, originally published in June 2020. It's filled with amazing photos of the Cascadia Post Office. The workers inside the post office and even on the loading dock for the postal trucks are featured in full color. Cascadia has a plethora of mailboxes throughout downtown as well as package pickup and delivery service trucks throughout the city going about their work.
Jack was GENEROUS AF in sending me this full sheet of Cascadia ArtPost postage, featuring Peeps who live in Cascadia. I'm JEALOUS OF MYSELF for getting this mail from Cascadia ArtPost, so if the reader finds themselves jealous as well, I think that is perfectly reasonable.
Jack also sent me a copy of the final documentation of a Mail Art Call produced by Cascadia Art created with Mail Art Martha in 2017. They created an entire booklet showcasing the 2017 Clown Parade which took place in Cascadia and the details are more than amazing, vivid and exciting. I just love Cascadia!
Included in the January mailing from Cascadia ArtPost was the first day issue of "Cascadia Artpost", dated November 21, 2008. This print out of the blog concisely describes the entire Cascadia Arpost project, which I am a huge admirer of.
The Cascadia ArtPost mailing came directly from Cascadia, using real Cascadia Diorama Stamps, postage cancelations and everything. I couldn't be more enthusiastic about Cascadia, I have true admiration of an artist who can take on and stick with such a detailed project for such a long time. THANK YOU, JACK!
