another exceedingly belated - the Exceptional Wonder of Christopher Skinner

I received the asemic book below in July - rather "out-of-the-blue," as it were... Christopher had just joined IUOMA and I didn't know his work yet. Needless to say, my mind was quite blown by this m.a. - the beauty of the artist's design of course, but the fecund imagination which thought of and created this piece - it was an exceptional one indeed! I expressed my awe & utter glee to Christopher, and commented on the great "Mail Art" stamp. He told me he had carved it himself, and was so very, very kind that when I told him of my disability problem w/ sharp tools, he carved one for me himself! and enclosed various graphic goodies with the gift also:

My thanks are indeed profound Christopher!!!

ha ha ha! Yes, I know the feeling - my Mom doesn't get my work at all. I do have rather a penchant for superlatives, nonetheless, in your case they are well & truly deserved my friend!

Exceptional Wonder! Good grief! The most I get at home from my kids is sympathetic indulgence or, at best, indifferent tolerance! Really Claire, you inflate my ego...
