I see we have a native French speaking on the great island.  It made me laugh.  This is my very first mail art from Alan.  Very pleasant indeed, and I am very intrigued to know how he made it.

I could not feel any texture as if it were painted and I could not find any pieces attached as if it were a collage.

However on the back is surely from his collection of interesting stamps.  Thank you Alan.  So what's your secret?

Ta, Dean! The brown pattern is just a lot of stripes made with a narrow roller and transparent printing ink, brown one way and grey the other. After the little roller has gone round once the ink becomes thinner and you get 'shadows' of the edges, producing the internal detail.FinnBadger — The Air Mail stamp is a copy of a genuine old label, I can't claim credit for that one.

I love Alan's work. His artistamps are incredible. The GWR Air Mail 3d is stunning.
