It's here! Oh yes! SNOW? but in Athens only, not up north in Thessaloniki :-)

A real 45 rpm painted vinyl by a famous not-wanting-to-be-named mail artist,

and it is THE "Snowstorm"! Whaooooo!

Some wonderful textures from "printing" painted cocktail stirrers , etc. :-)

And the flip side of Snowstorm vinyl is.....

and we are singing: "Breaking Up is Hard to do"

"They say that breaking up is hard to do
Now I know, I know that it's true
Don't say that this is the end
Instead of breaking up
I wish that we were making up again

I beg of you, don't say goodbye
Can't we give our love another try
Come on baby, let's start a new
'Cause breaking up is hard to do..."

"The Fatback Band"???? I thought this was a Neil Sidaca hit, no?

Well the Greek Twins looove it, (me too!)

(Who remembers Edmund Hippo?)

This is a very old mail art delivery from before 2014, never blogged?

but so appropriate for today, 6 Feb.2023 with snow in Athens :-)

Some classic mail art on an American classic album!!  You know what they say about snowflakes? ...That no two are ever alike! So you definitely have an "original" piece of art there!  :)

Here is some extra snow for you... this picture was on the front page of my hometown paper today and depicts a scene in the middle of the Green Mountain National Forest (which covers about 2/3 of the State of Vermont). You know Vermont gets a lot of snow when it is the front page highlight...not much else going on in po-dunk rural Vermont...  [photo by Steve Costello]

Well, "snow" did fall in Athens, but we ol' Chicagoans call it a "dusting".

there was snow in the hillside suburbs of Athens and the mountain villages:
