That is what Cheryl calls this splendid book, a book "sort of about current things, and things a little past":

Asemic palette, the bridge, transgressing the page, needle girls, ghost in my alphabet, authentic massacre of the innocent image--these represent parts of just some of the images and Cheryl projects that appear in this book. It's a very rich medley, beautiful at every turn, and of course filled with the mysterious word-pictures that always accompany her visionary stories. At one point, toward the end, she says "No Words Are Black and White," a truth her books seem to make even more true. Is that possible? This gallimaufry is loved to pieces--thank you again, Cheryl.
