It's been so long since I received this I must guiltily admit that I can't remember whether I added and passed this piece but I thought it looked pretty good upon arrival. I hope you can view this large enough to get the effect that I got of staring down into a dark pool and seeing the various things floating on the surface with others in the center having sunk to the bottom. The white broken up face of the demon dog looks like water reflections in this incarnation. There's that and then there's the Hans Hofmann quality to the ins and outs of the various rectangles as they interact at different levels of "submersion." Whether this is the result of one person's work or a particularly felicitous collaboration it has the feeling of coming together in exactly the right way. Which, of course, means that God exists. Didn't see that one comin' did ya? Okay...at any rate, here's my plan. We blow them up to 24" x 36", rephotograph them, silk screen the photo, call them "Lucky Strike" (pretty good product placement) and sell them as Rauschenbergs, the somber period after his break up with Tab Hunter. It could work....come back, come baaaaaack.
