I got quite a mail art surprise from Dean (that Artist in Seine). Completely unexpected and a thrill to gawk at and peruse through. As "boekie" mail art goes, this one's a star—a collection of all sorts of classic and antique images, papers, ephemera, textiles and even holograms (!) that make for une grande tournée d'art collage.

Wish that you all could turn the pages yourselves, feel the textures and turn the hologram to witness its 3-D effects, but these photos will have to suffice...

Curiously, the postage is all United States currency! Which means, I suppose, that Dean must've had a side trip to the States for business or pleasure, perhaps?! Dean must be like that adventurer, "Where in the world in Carmen Santiago?" No matter where Dean's adventures take him, his mail art is always quite welcome!

Very happy it arrived and without cancelled stamps.  You shouldn't be surprised.  This is a reply to your Trashpo Bookie of Seattle you sent me in July 2012.  I have been working on it for awhile, so sorry for the brief delay.

Actually this is not the reply from your Trashpo Bookie of Seattle.  The real reply I am still working on and all the pieces are in a large envelope somewhere.  I'm hoping to run across it some day so that I can finish it.  One fine day!

Thank you for the wonderful blog, and comment from William.
