I have never been to Ayers Rock - would love to - been as far a Oodnadata (what a wonderful word) which was 8/9 hours drive from Adelaide - and we were just more than a third of a way to The Rock. Oodnadata is near where the Mad Max movies were filmed - Breakaways and the Lunar Landscape. In May there were no flies - I believe they are a PEST!


This is sacred Aboriginal stone site. I cannot describe the beauty of the place and the utter quietness that pervades the landscape.

A crow flight or whatever its called not even a kilometer I dont think. When you get my Alexander booklet you'll see where I live - but that's the inland view. OF COURSE someone went and built in front of the sea view...
