Mail art received 1st week of May, being officially Autumn.  It was my lucky day that I welcomed Frieder to the collaborative book group.  He sent me a Leperello.

Leporellos are  small folders almost,  which open out  to a large format.  An accordion bound book is a typical example of this type of book .  Frieder wrote in between his drawings that he uses paper as sketch books, but sometimes they become these small books, which, because of a welcome made its way to South Africa.  Frieder has fond memories of time spent in Africa.  He said his book is  without color because color belongs to Africa. For Sure!

Frieder has also written and said that drawing is a playground for him.  People he sees, places he gazes at.

Thank you for this work Frieder - its a real 'present' (as per Ray Johnson). O, its been a good artist's book week for sure. A FAB :-)

Frieder does do nice work. I mentioned to you he's working on some sort of mail-art currency for me, like Fluxus bucks. Should be interesting. Thanks for posting CP-SA the Obscure
