Good Times from Dean Marks

I was so happy to receive this in the mail box today!

Mail art from good friend Dean Marks with yummy pizza on it!  It reminds me of old times indeed, working on mail art all afternoon and having a pizza dinner afterwards.  Too bad we all live too far apart now.

There's also a small bar code composition, a few brush strokes and the message is very…

Xmas Mail Art Time from Katerina Nikoltsou

Card and gift sent last year from Katerina Nikoltsou.  I hope this is not too late to post it!  The landscape drawing and watercolour painting is simple and pretty.  Love the sparkles and will certainly use then on future projects.  Katerina once blogged about one of the sparkly projects I did in the past: …

Poemas para Navegar from Paulo Bruscky

Paulo Bruscky is a pioneer mail artist in Brazil.  He's been working since, I believe, the 60's.  He's active to this day and I was thrilled to receive this card from him.  I was sent in March 2011.…

Très Magnifique from Dean Marks

Postcard sent by Dean Marks aka Artist in Seine in July 2012.  I'm afraid some bits and pieces fell off of it, but it still looks great despite being incomplete.  I love that the electronic circuit could survive the trip intact.…

Fire from Trick Sensei

Mail Art received in 2012 from Trick Sensei, USA.

I think Trick Sensei uses stencils, spray paint and some kind of texture paint.   The paint is opaque but it has a bit of a sheen to it, the fire is sheer and there are bits of gold and silver here and there.  It is not only cool looking but also nice to touch.

The back has stampings and…

Peachy Time from Katerina Nikoltsou

This peachy summery goodness was sent back in 2015.  It came like a breath of fresh air on the mail.  Katerina must have guessed that fruit is my favourite food.  She's sent me some watermelon once: …

Ceci n'est pas le Eiffel Tower from Richard Canard

This was sent to me back in August 2012.  It is not the Eiffel Tower and, technically, it is not the Tokyo Tower either.  Towers are difficult to be sent by the mail.  I very much prefer to receive a picture of it.

Culture is Great from Dean Marks

Oh my, it's been a while since my last blog.  I got this piece by Dean Marks earlier this year.  On one side there is a french museum advert that says "Emmenez vos infants voir des gens tout nus" , which means "Take your children to see naked people".  The other side shows an UK government's GREAT Britain campaign stating "Culture is great".  I love that Dean put these too adds together, so clever.  Culture is great indeed.…

A Map of Bananada from Cascadia Artpost

Cascadia Artpost sent me this Map of Bananada.  It is so fun!  I could literally spend hours just reading through the map and all those funny landmark names.

The stamps are lovely.  This card actually holds an invitation to an exhibition in honour of Anna Banana.  Sounds wonderful, I wish I could visit it.…

I've just got a couple of Dada poems from my new Mail-Art friend, Helle Pollas from Denmark.  Two pretty pieces mixing painting and collage.  It is super fun to read!  I particularly enjoy the part that says "Run at... cupcakes".  I mean, sounds like a good idea ;)…
