To be abandoned

Got this in the mail today from Heleen in Nederland. I will be abandoning it at a mental health office today. I think it'll make someone there feel brighter!

Thank you!!

Picking a place to mail to

I pulled out a map of the world, had my mother close her eyes and point to a spot. The first one was Croatia.  The second one was Alaska.  Then, I went to member search and found IUOMA members in those places. So, I made mail art for those 2 people, and they will be on the way tomorrow.  How fun!!!

Mermaid

I made a mermaid postcard in Photoshop today. She's swimming her way to Croatia. That was fun. I think I'm going to go make another postcard tonight. :-)

She's here!!!

I picked up my granddaughter from the airport Tuesday for what is looking to be a fun-filled month! I'm excited! She's 12. Last night, she painted some matchboxes for me, and sculpted an entire family out of clay. This girl is talented!! Seriously talented. It looks like she is starting to take after her Auntie Fawn!

Coursera

I got my mail art homework in on time this week! I like the course, but I'm not that big on collage, so it's not quite as exciting as I had hoped it would be. But, I'm learning things, so I'm happy. The course I'm taking is Introduction to Art: Concepts & Techniques

This week's lesson happened to be on mail art. :-)

I wish she would get more into drawing or painting,…

Just joined

Well, here I am. I'm not quite sure what to do now. I don't even know how to fill out my profile, but I'll learn. :-)

So, my name is Prairie Kittin. I am on Flickr, deviantART, swap-bot, and a few other places. Apparently I have a web presence. LOL!

I've been doing art my whole life. I think I was born with a pencil in my hand! :-)

I'm a 57 year old Grandma. I'm a biker who rides her own bike. I'm eclectic in a lot of my beliefs, but it all boils down to the fact…
