A very large box with a GAGGLE of PEACE CRANES landed the other day. Thank you very very much…

Mail art friends, sorry to be slow responding to the interesting and creative work I've been getting.  I work in education as a consultant and the beginning of the school year is always really busy until about Halloween. I have done a series of cards I'll send out this week with origami cranes inclosed in them.

Our local library is sponsoring an event for people to come together to make and string cranes for this project. You can still make peace cranes because we still need about 400 more!

Recently received 4 ink drawings in which a Peace Crane was added from Dimitris Karlaftopoulos of Greece.  I'll post the other drawings soon!

I've thought of an idea that I'd like to share with fellow artists.  Perhaps each of us could make one origami "Peace Crane" which we could send to a contact person in Japan. There's a story that's told in Japan which says that if you make a thousand Peace Cranes, a person or persons will be healed.
