The Arses Of England

High on my list of arses today are Quazi Quateng , Liz Truss, in fact all of the Tory party.

Postcard from the 90's ( or was it late 80's?)  in a series commissioned by Boomerang cards who used to supply cinema foyers and student unions around the country with free cards.  Other cards in the "Beautiful Britain "  series were "The Arses Of…

Doodle Stamps

Sketchbook page of latest "Daily Doodles" on Facecrack. Collage and pen perforations. Images from old adverts in american Mechanics Illustrated magazine.  I have a pile of these - very handy over the years for snippings for collages.

Collaborative 8 page 'zine - 1985

One page from a 'zine I made with Hazel Jones when we were courting back in 1985. Folded A4 sheet. Photo copy and rubber stamped. Dedicated to the late Michael Scott which was weird because he didn't pass away until 1988.

Borders

Collage from a few months ago. Sent to an exhibition of assembling in UK somewhere - I forget where. Eventually all pages to be made into a book.  Not sure what happens to it after that.  Part of the "Issue"  assembling group in Wales which has been going for the last 20 years or so. Not really mail art - more of a bookart project that goes through the mail.…

A Tap On The Head

The other day we addressed a long term problem with our dripping taps.  They were getting worse - one in particular - in the bathroom hand basin was almost a constant flow - like water torture!   Anyway, we gathered the tools and washers etc. and took the tap apart in a similar manner to the Will's cigarette card depiction here. They are old taps - probably…

I'll let you be in my dream if I can be in yours!

Vivid dream about Bob last night who lived in the East End of London just around the time I was there back in the 80's. He was sitting in a sand pit making constructions out of bricks and twigs with the local kids.  I was taking photos of him and the sand pit. He said "Hey man, stop taking photos of me!" and I said "It's OK BOB it's not a real camera - just my fingers contorted into the shape of a camera for dream like purposes."  He seemed OK with that explaination.  His house was a slum…
