WELL HERE WE ARE (indeed)
some wild words from Ebb Yowza
wow this raises so many questions... i don't recognize any of the names referenced here, but for some reason it feels like all roads lead to Harry…

another fun anthology of retroshlock. i also really like the assortment of stamps on the envelope - Ponce de Leon, manatees, and D&D - cool!

= the longest day
the other side of this collage card features a clipped text: "how long will you sleep?" so it feels like a reminder to wake up. dreamland is a nice place to hang out, but maybe not forever. thanks…

'Assisted Living' - looks like some forbidden fruit and fungi are part of this interpersonal arrangement. Melanie really knows how to put things together. the envelope is an added bonus - …

ok, i've seen the image of this card as received and posted by others, but there's nothing quite like holding it in my own grubby hands. i'll never forget my initial introduction to M. Duchamp - opened up a whole new world (or possibly several) to me. thanks DSA for sparking joy with this lovely…

'Ticket! Ticket!' series 15
5 full sheets of stamps this time! always so heart-warming to see old friends and new convened here courtesy of Jack. i do hope someone is collating all these for an eventual book project - or wrapping paper, at the very least...? glad to know the project will continue; thanks for putting it…

[yes, this was mailed/received before the election in the US; still catching up!]
a full sheet of St. eXposto facto stamps, a snippet of the IUOMA anthem, and a couple of other goodies as well. always intriguing to find an envelope from Columbus in the mailbox; Catherine produces clever, intricate, and often…

i love the textures/treatment of these scrappy odd-shaped ATCs; they're like relics unpacked from a time capsule buried by an art-minded society. Karen also enclosed a plethora of Mail Art omens - …

this is pretty cool - a postcard that is a sheet of usable stickers. if you find any of these 'natural' images on an envelope from me, you'll know that Jokie is the true source ];-)

like a set of Matryoshka dolls, the collaged 'special' envelope at the bottom contained a collaged postcard and a smaller collaged ATC. also included: packaging from Baby Forest figures and some hyperreal roast potatoes (EAT ART!). thanks Ruth - i just put something for you in the post today, so see you…
Helen has titled this postcard "contentment drawing" (or perhaps that is a methodology/technique?). anyhow, it's working, as gazing upon this piece soothes my soul (a not-so-secret side effect of some Mail Art).
thanks Helen and see you in the mailbox ... soon? Australia is far away so i'm not sure how long the mail takes to get there from…

from Japan, peaceful doves deliver Mail Art amidst a field of flowers
a second card with faux-postage (faux-stage?) features more cute hand-carved stamps -
the official postage stamps are also pretty…

this naive drawing looks like something you'd find on a classroom blackboard, but my mind distorts the pastoral scene, anxious about those clouds in the sky, the chimney smoke, the sunbeams and pond ripples. kind of like those duck/rabbit or old/young woman ambiguities - is this a picture of peacetime or wartime?
thanks Lubomyr for this mail…

like gifts under the tree, ATCs come in all shapes and sizes - a lovely assortment as usual

today, these paintings evoke for me the film adaptation of Jeff VanderMeer's "Annihilation", the dream of escaping to some mysterious other world indicated by an unusual and awesome distortion of the landscape.…

Julie's not here on IUOMA, but we have a mutual friend who suggested she send me something; i am not disappointed!
a great message for us all as we undergo the throes of late capitalism.
Julie also included some ephemera, like aromatic wisps wafting out of her workspace:…
