I am not a mail-artist. I was the domestic partner of the mail-artist Keith Bowsza, known under various pseudoynms over his art career, such as "Haint" and "Minoy". I simply want to announce that Keith died a little more than a year ago, on 3/19/10, from a myocardial infarction and liver shutdown. He had been on progressively-increasing medications over his last decade due to a number of medical problems. His health had gotten worse and he was hospitalized around 3/1/10. His death was sudden and unexpected. One day in the hospital he was joking and laughing, the next day I was informed that he had become brain-dead, so I gave them permission to take him off life-support. It was a terrible blow to me, after our having been lovers for 33 years. I became suicidal for a while, but fortunately I was steered away from that. Portions of this last year have been quite difficult for me, but I am fortunately doing much better. I have discussed with Amber Sabri, Keith's and my mutual friend in San Francisco, that we try to interest some of the local galleries in the L.A. area (particularly the Bergamot Station collection of galleries in Santa Monica) in Keith's brilliant abstract digital artworks, which are extremely beautiful.

Sad to hear the news of Minoy. Glad you are sharing the news here. Haven't heard this news from any source before. Maybe you can promote some of your activities here to let the digital artworks survive. Good Luck!
