Hiya,

Happy New Year! Hope it's going well for you. I finally managed to finish my sketchbook, post it and complete my online profile and portfolio. Did you do yours? I'd love to connect with you on the Art House Coop site and see what you did with your book. What's your name so I can find you, or you can find me.

All the best,

Leslie

That's amazing. How do you practice?
I love your sketchbook idea. Fantastic. I'm torn between doing lots of drawings, prints, or pin hole sketches of pigeons and /or other animals that scavenge, or doing a kind of photo and text journal of my found objects I've collected and keep in a jar.

I too heard about Krishnamurti as a teenager, but it went over my head a bit. I took to The Prophet, by Kahlil Gibran. I used to take quotes from it and put them into sermonistic letters to my mother, who I thought was hippocrytical, and should treat me more like an adult. ("your children are not your children...") I was only 15, but thought I was there! Strangely much later in Life, around age 30 I took to buddhism and remain a practicioner, and member of SGI.
I like your sketchbook title, too. Wow, that's going to be interesting. Any ideas yet how you will fill it?

That's cool you were into philosophy from any early age. I guess I was too, if you count 15 early. Inspired by my dad, 70's Californian culture and teachers in high school. That's amazing you started the sketchbook project. How interesting! it's a small world. I got my moleskin about 3/4 weeks ago! My theme is the Scavenger one.
